It’s not just flagship smartphones that need software updates; even budget smartphones do. That is exactly what is happening. Android 12 will be updated to Samsung Galaxy M11, a budget smartphone.

Android 12 is already available on most Galaxy phones scheduled to receive it. A regular stream of software updates is also available for most devices today. The software updates from Samsung have really upped the ante. Google is working on Android 13 but Android 12 is still coming to phones. Owners of this phone will soon be able to use the latest version of Android. In addition to running Android 12, the Galaxy M11 will also receive One UI 4. One UI isn’t the latest version, but it’s still packed with plenty of updated features.

The user interface will undergo some noticeable changes, making the software look a bit different. App icons and widgets will be more rounded. The software can be customized to match the color scheme of the wallpaper, which is one of its most notable features. A popular feature is a Dynamic Color. An indicator will also appear at the top of the screen when an app uses the camera or microphone. You can tell if you are being watched or listened to. Also included in the Android 12 update is the June 2022 security update for the Galaxy M11. As a result, many vulnerabilities in the software have been fixed.

There are 65 security holes fixed in this update, and five of them are rated critical, so that’s encouraging news. Samsung devices were specifically vulnerable to 17 vulnerabilities. Other 48 were found throughout Android. Now that the update has been installed, you should be able to see it on your phone. Otherwise, it may take a couple of days for your phone to receive it.
