Although the Honor Play 20 is a budget-friendly smartphone it disappointed many users. In 2021 the company does not launch many interesting and attractive phones. Honor Play 20 launched on 1 May 2021. Honor Play 20 comes with some standard features that may not full fill your demand. For the low-budget section, the company does not offer remarkable phones. Honor Play 20 comes with a different chipset, older OS, and less standard camera but it comes with a massive and standard battery.
Design:
The beautifully designed smartphone caught our eyes. Regarding color and structures, Honor Play 20 offers everything unique and you will be attracted. Honor Play 20 is available in four colors Black, Blue, White, and Silver. Honor Play 20 has glowing rays set on the back which is common on some phones including Gionee M15. On the back panel, the dual cameras are placed correctly. There is no fingerprint sensor on this phone.
Display:
Honor Play 20 comes with 6.52 inches display. Honor Play 20 does not offer a refresh rate and you will notice its deficiency while watching or playing. Honor Play 20 has a 720p resolution and with that you expect that to have some decent photos. Honor Play 20 offers a 20:9 ratio that will not cause too many problems. Honor Play 20 is 8.9mm thick. The smartphone is not so much heavy with its 198g weight. There is no gorilla glass protection on the display.
Software:
Honor Play 20 delivers a satisfying performance. Honor Play 20 runs on Android 10 OS instead of the latest OS. The company does not offer Google Play Service. Due to the Magic UI 4.0 custom interface, you can create your shortcuts.
Performance:
The performance of any smartphone is depend on its chipset. Honor Play 20 is powered by the Unisoc T610 chipset. With this chipset, you will always stay behind the game because this is a basic level. Honor Play 20 offers a 1.8GHz clock speed. The shocking thing is that there is no graphic unit. You will miss a decent viewing while playing games or watching videos.
Storage:
Regarding storage, Honor Play 20 is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can also select 6GB of RAM and 4GB with 128GB of inbuilt storage. There are many options in terms of storage.
Camera:
In terms of cameras, the company does not add some appealing features. Honor Play 20 is equipped with a 13MP main camera along with a 2MP depth camera. With a 13MP camera, you can take good snaps in daylight. Otherwise, no remarkable features are included. You can record 1080p videos with the main camera. Honor Play 20 has a 5MP selfie camera that is not capable of capturing. The front camera has an absence of a video recording feature that can irritate its users when video conferencing and video calls.
Battery and others:
To use your smartphone for a long time you need a massive battery. Here the brand does not disappoint you. Honor Play 20 has a Li-Po 5000 mAh battery. You can watch videos for a whole day with ease. Honor Play 20 does not support fast charging but it comes with a regular 10W charger. The price of the Honor Play 20 is $310 approx. The price is affordable but the features are not tolerable.
Competitors:
The best competitors of Honor Play 20 include Vivo Y12A, Micromax IN 2b, Realme C21Y, and TECNO Spark 7T. Honor Play 20 is not appealing to its users because it misses many remarkable features. In terms of camera and processor, the Honor Play 20 does not qualify. Honor Play 20 does not have a refresh rate, fingerprint scanner, and the latest OS. There is no graphic unit as well. The only noteworthy features are battery, IPS LCD, available in different storage and RAM, and support for Magic UI 4.0 but it is not enough.
