An early leak shows that Xiaomi and Leica’s first smartphone will be the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, and it will feature an interesting array of rear cameras. The Xiaomi 12 Ultra is expected to launch as a more premium version of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The renders released by Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka OnLeaks) in collaboration with Zouton depict a strikingly different design. Xiaomi’s 11 Ultra, to be more precise.

As with other premium flagships, the screen is curved on the sides, and there is a hole in the center for the front camera. However, the rear is a bit different. A huge circular camera housing, which has four cameras and a bunch of sensors, takes up more than a third of the back. On the bottom, there is also the Leica logo.

After Xiaomi announced its partnership with Leica in May 2022, renders of the first jointly developed smartphone have surfaced. Xiaomi brand is one of the most popular smartphone brands in the world and its phones are sold all over the globe. Xiaomi is known for its innovations, just like its Chinese counterpart Oppo. In 2021, it demonstrated 200W wired fast charging technology and 120W fast wireless charging on some of its smartphones.

Xiaomi announced that its new battery technology will be able to increase lithium batteries’ capacity by 10 percent without increasing their size in December 2021. The special battery will be available in the second half of 2022, according to Xiaomi. Chinese company Xiaomi has also entered the electric car market and plans to launch its first vehicle in 2024.
